Tell me a little about Wentworth Gallery, the services you provide and the work you showcase.
Wentworth Gallery is the leading fine art retailer with 11 locations in the United States.
We offer a wide array of internationally renowned artists – from figurative, to more traditional landscapes, to unique abstract art.
We also carry works by our Modern Masters – such as Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, Camille Pissarro, Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas and Salvador Dali, just to mention a few. We are fortunate to continue showing and inviting the latest generation of these famous artists. Our Masters Show will most likely include Alexandre Renoir, the great-grandson, Pierre Matisse, the grandson of Henri Matisse, or Lelia Pissarro. These artists grew up in France and have such wonderful stories to tell us while they paint in the gallery.
… And then there are our modern day lifetime artists – such as Peter Max, Romero Britto, Alexandra Nechita, Jane Seymour, Paul Stanley (KISS), Ronnie Wood (Rolling Stones), Charles Fazzino, David Schluss and approximately 145 international artists.
Most of these internationally renowned and very collectable artists have exhibited and honored us with their presence at the Wentworth Southpark Mall location for the past 24 years. The shows are always exciting and so much fun – and open to the public free of charge.
Wentworth Gallery offers our very unique Home Show service where we will bring up to 20 works of art to your home or office for a private viewing, within 50 miles of any of our galleries at no charge and no obligation, at a time convenient to you. Installations are also part of our uncompromising customer service.
What’s the Wentworth Gallery’s opinion on the accessibility of art across the consumer market?
The art market today is still volatile, but we definitely see more demand for highly collectable 20th century works simply for investment purposes. We at Wentworth Gallery strongly believe that you absolutely must love the art you purchase, because you will then enjoy it for many years to come. Our lifetime artists may be tomorrow’s masters of the 21th century, and are still reasonably priced. This is the time to make your purchase and let’s talk again in 10 years! With our 0% for up to 24 months financing offered through one of the major local banks, owning that special work of art is now more attainable than ever before.
If I may add the most frequently asked question: ‘Why are you located in a Mall?
Wentworth Gallery recognizes the diversity of our public and consumer art market, with the concept that everyone should be able to walk into a gallery just enjoying beautiful art. Our gallery doors are wide open, and we do love to educate today’s consumer. Remember, the more you know, the more comfortable you feel when making a purchase in the future. Where do you go? Naturally to the gallery, that educated you. Building TRUST!
Do you have any tips for someone who is interested in collecting and what kind of art would you suggest for a first time buyer?
We strongly believe that anyone can buy and collect art; all you need is love and appreciation for fine art! First time fine art buyers often tend to buy original limited editions such as hand signed and numbered lithographs, serigraphs and even giclees. Although they are indeed original prints they are often less expensive than the one of a kind pieces like sculptures or paintings. Gradually the art buyer will develop a sense of what their aesthetic, or style is. However we do suggest establishing a long term relationship with an art consultant that will help you develop your own expertise. For more information on art collecting or the art we carry, feel free to call us at 704-365-2733 or stop by our Southpark location.
